To the Editor:
This is just a letter to the people of your community for the hospitality and friendliness they showed to all of us who descended on your community last Monday. My wife and I plus another couple came from Denver to see the eclipse.
When we got to Kimball people were standing on the streets waving flags as we passed through in a steady stream. I had called the visitor center and a nice lady told me to try the Legacy of the Plains Museum. When we arrived we were directed where to park. No one asked us for a parking fee! We were so surprised. We found people serving lunch and others willing to answer all of our questions.
After the eclipse, we found the same attitude in Scottsbluff. To see this behavior was so encouraging to us. I know that to you it was a normal way to act, but I assure you it isn’t found everywhere. It renewed my faith in this nation. We all agreed you live in a wonderful community.
