A construction worker suffered injuries during a collapse of a roof at a downtown Scottsbluff business Wednesday morning.

Scottsbluff Fire Captain Dan Hubbs said that four construction workers were in the building at the time, working on plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning. One of the workers suffered injuries and has been transported to Regional West Medical Center

For most of the past five years, Gering City Engineer Paul Snarr has been involved in numerous projects for city improvements, but now he’s headed home to his family in Idaho.

At their Monday meeting, members of the Gering City Council accepted Snarr’s resignation. His last day will be Dec. 1.
